KLABCS of SISU Delivered Report on the Development of Neuroscience to Promote Management to the Chinese Academy of Engineering

On June 1, 2019, before the selection of a new batch of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the final review meeting for the project of “Research on the development trend of neuroscience to promote management” was held at the Beijing Convention Center. The meeting was chaired by Academician Hu Wenrui, Director of the Engineering Management Department of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Nearly 20 academicians of the Engineering Management Department attended the meeting as assessment committee members, including Academician Zhu Gaofeng, the first Executive Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician Yin Ruizhen, the first director of the Engineering Management Department of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician Wang Jude, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health, Academician Sun Yongfu, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Railways, Academician Zheng Jingchen, Dean of the Armed Police General Hospital, Academician Ding Lieyun, President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Xiang Qiao, Academician of the Chinese Aero Engine Group Corporation. 

As a project support unit and one of the main research teams (the research group consists of Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Zhejiang University of Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai International Studies University),the Key Laboratory of Applied Brain and Cognitive Sciences of SISU sent Professor Pan Yu, Dean of the School of Business and Management, to present the report to the final review meeting on behalf of the research team.  The report focused on four aspects: the advantages and current situation of neuroscience in promoting the development of management science, the advances of neuroscience technology and management research paradigm, the research on how neuroscience expanded management research, as well as its prospects and difficulties. Academician Ma Qingguo of the Eurasian Academy of Sciences provided comments and suggestions on the report.  After the report was finished, the participating academicians gave higher evaluations, pointing out that the topic was innovative and featured the frontiers of research, as it closely fit the current development of combining management science and information science, management science and life science, and explored the new thoughts and developments generated by cross-disciplinary cooperation.
