On March 26, 2018, the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) consulting project “the Trend of How Neuroscience Promotes Management Development” was launched at the kick-off meeting hosted by Academician Zhu Gaofeng, the first Executive Vice President of CAE. Experts who presented at the meeting were: Academician Yin Rui-yu,director of CAE management department; former vice minister of the Ministry of Education, director of the management department of National Natural Science Foundation; deputy executive director Gao Ziyou, section chief Yang Liexun; Academician Ma Qingguo, International Eurasian Academy of Sciences; Professor Tang shoulian, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications; Professor Song Yan, Beijing Normal University.
As the supporting unit of the project and the main research team, Key Laboratory of Applied Brain and Cognitive Sciences of Shanghai International Studies University made a report at the launch meeting. Professor Pan Yu, executive dean of the School of Business and Management, gave a report entitled Neuroscience Drives the Development of Management. Professor Yang Xiaolan reported on Neuroscience Promotes the Development of Financial Engineering Research. Professor Rao Peilun reported on The Advancement of Neuroscience in Industrial Engineering Research. Professor Wang lei introduced the Development and Application of Neuroscience and Technology. The experts at the meeting held a heated discussion, fully affirmed the research value of the project, and actively discussed the development context and prospects of the project.
How Neuroscience promotes management is one of the hot areas of interdisciplinary research at home and abroad at present. In order to follow up and promote the application of neuroscience in engineering management, the engineering management department of CAE has established the consulting research project the Trend of How Neuroscience Promotes Management Development . According to the Management Measures for Consulting and Research Projects of CAE, the consulting study aims to playing an advisory and academic roll in providing timely advice, insisting on the consulting research with strategic, forward-looking and comprehensive principle, according to the construction of national top think-tank and the demand of services advance. More than 3 academicians are invited to participate in the consultative research project, led by academicians Zhu Gaofeng, Yang shanlin and Yin ruiyu. The main research team is from the Key Laboratory of Applied Brain and Cognitive Sciences in Shanghai International Studies University. The project team consists of Beijing University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, General Institute of Iron and Steel Research, Hefei University of Technology, Tsinghua University, Shanghai International Studies University, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University of Technology, China Academy of Engineering and China Institute of Information and Communication (in alphabetical order), including four academicians, four Yangtze River scholars and three outstanding scholars in this field.
