Professor Wan Wen and Assistant Professor Jia He from the School of Business at the University of Hong Kong visited the Key Laboratory of Brain-Machine Intelligence for Information Behavior (BMIB)

On April 14th, at our invitation, Professor Wan Wen and Assistant Professor Jia He from the Marketing Department and Director of the Behavioral and Decision Science Center at the University of Hong Kong School of Business visited the Key Laboratory of Brain-Machine Intelligence for Information Behavior (BMIB). They had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the team's professors Shen Qiang, Jin Jia, Associate Professor Fan Hua, and Associate Professor Huang Yi.

By visiting the BMIB at our school, including functional magnetic resonance imaging, transcranial direct current stimulation, virtual reality, and electroencephalography, the two professors highly appreciated and affirmed the interdisciplinary research characteristics and cutting-edge nature of the laboratory, and expressed that using neuroscience methods for marketing research can reveal consumer neural mechanisms that traditional methods are difficult to discover, Provide new ideas and innovative points for digital marketing and consumer decision-making.

In addition, both sides shared and explored research directions, methods, and achievements in the fields of neuromarketing, neuroeconomics, and neuromanagement, and discussed issues such as internal and external challenges, era positioning, and disciplinary attributes faced by the current marketing discipline. Both sides expressed the hope to strengthen cooperation, deepen communication and learning in all aspects, seek new research entry points, make more meaningful and forward-looking research, and jointly promote the development of the marketing discipline. At the same time, the two professors invited faculty from BMIB and department of marketing to attend an academic conference at the University of Hong Kong and expressed their expectation for further exchanges and cooperation.
