Recently, the 2023 Academic Annual Meeting of the China Association for International Public Relations was held in Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province. Pan Yu, Dean of SBM, Yang Chen, Director of the Department of Public Relations, and Jiao Mei, Faculty of the Department of Public Relations, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Dean Pan Yu gave a keynote speech titled "Intelligent New Technology Promoting the Development of Public Relations Education". He analyzed the practical requirements for the transformation and upgrading of public relations education from aspects such as the trend of the times, the background of intelligent technology, and the dynamics of world-renowned schools. He then introduced SBM's talent training plan for public relations from the beginning of digital reform in 2019 to the completion of digital and intelligent transformation in 2022. He supported the construction of conditions and phased achievements, which aroused strong interest and widespread appreciation from the attending representatives.
The undergraduate program in Public Relations of SBM has been selected as a provincial-level first-class undergraduate program construction point in the "Double Ten Thousand Plan" of the Ministry of Education. Starting from the 2022 level, we will position ourselves in the direction of "New Technology and Convergence Media Management" and integrate this direction into the talent training system for master's, professional master's, doctoral, and postdoctoral students. The reform of majors empowered by new technologies is highly welcomed by students. In this year's division of business administration categories, the number of students choosing to study public relations ranked second among the five majors.
