On the afternoon of June 20th, the 2023 graduation ceremony and degree awarding ceremony of SBM of SISU, with the theme of "passing down the torch and working together", was held at the Education Hall of Songjiang Campus. Dean Pan Yu, Honorary Chairman of the Academic Committee Fan Zheng, Secretary of the Party Committee Xu Yong, Deputy Secretary Wang Li, Vice Dean Ma Baojun, Vice Dean Yang Xiaolan, Chairman of the Academic Committee Wang Fenghua, 2005 Bachelor of Business Administration Alumni and VP of Finance at Baozun Inc Zhu Yanjie, Department Director, Tutor, and Counselor of SBM, as well as all 2023 graduates and parents of students attended this ceremony. In the past three years, due to the pandemic, we were unable to hold an offline graduation ceremony and bid farewell seriously. Today's ceremony invites graduates from the 2020, 2021, and 2022 classes to come back home to make up for the regret of that summer and write the most unforgettable memories for their youth.
Graduates, with their reluctance and nostalgia for their alma mater, put on their degree suits and hats and entered the venue on time to sit down, waiting for the graduation ceremony to begin. The graduation commemorative video reproduces the stories of the graduates' struggle and growth one by one, carrying the memories and dreams of their youth. At 13:10 pm, the mentors entered wearing their mentoring uniforms. Subsequently, with the solemn sound of the national anthem, the graduation ceremony officially began.
Firstly, during the commendation process for outstanding graduates, Vice President Ma Baojun read out the list of commendations. The students who received outstanding graduates from Shanghai, Shanghai International Studies University, and School of Business and Management successively took the stage, and Ma Baojun and Yang Xiaolan presented honorary certificates to the students. Some of them have devoted themselves to scientific research and published multiple SCI papers, some have won over 100 awards in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, some have volunteered to contribute to the frontline of the motherland, and some have received graduate admission notices from prestigious schools. They have demonstrated the most beautiful struggle posture of students in SBM.
Next, Director of the Academic Committee, Wang Fenghua, announced the list of outstanding graduation thesis awards for the 2023 edition and issued certificates to the students who were recognized. In recent years, SBM has undertaken more than 40 national level projects such as national self science key projects, and for the first time undertaken a major project of "Brain Science and Brain like Research" to serve national needs. It has published more than 300 SSCI/SCI papers in journals such as Science and Nature, and its research results have won multiple scientific and technological progress awards, contributing to national strategy and Shanghai's economic construction.

Teaching and educating, tirelessly, Professor Fan Zheng, the first dean of SBM, serves as a teacher representative and sends blessings to the graduates. He first introduced to his classmates the development history of SBM over the past 38 years since its establishment. Now, SBM has established a "undergraduate, master's, and doctoral" training system and has passed multiple high-level international certifications. These achievements cannot be separated from the joint efforts of a generation of faculty and students in SBM. He hopes that as graduates of business schools, students will become professionals with both digital professional knowledge, general knowledge of human culture, cross-cultural language knowledge, and innovative thinking and methods hidden behind these knowledge in the future borderless world and management.
The spring breeze turns into rain and moistens everything silently. The dean of SBM, Pan Yu, delivered a speech under the theme of "flowers full of trees, only originating from a seed in ice and snow". He summarized the arduous entrepreneurial history ofSBM, and under the continuous efforts of the faculty and students in the reform and development, the seeds of the development of SBM thrived and blossomed, achieving many high-level scientific research results, and contributing to the national strategy and Shanghai economic construction. SBM has always been committed to serving national strategies and cultivating batches of talents for the economic development of enterprises in the country. Zhu Yanjie, a 2005 undergraduate alumnus of SBM and VP of Finance at Baozun Inc, recalled the shaping of her future life during her four years of university abroad. She expressed her gratitude to her alma mater for providing an international and high-quality training system for her classmates, expanding her experience and horizons, and providing unlimited possibilities for everyone's future growth.
During the degree awarding process, graduates queue up one by one to take the stage, and SBM leaders, MBA center faculty, and department deans will issue degree certificates to the graduates in turn and allocate them.
This ceremony welcomes the first doctoral graduates of SBM, which is a milestone in the development of SBM. In commemoration of this important moment, Dean Pan Yu and former Dean Fan Zheng jointly set the ears for doctoral graduates.
During the student representative speech segment, Huang Yidong, a representative of doctoral graduates, Meng Wenting, a representative of academic master's graduates, Yin Jiangfang, a representative of MBA graduates, and Peng Yijing, a representative of undergraduate graduates, successively took the stage to speak.
