On July 24, the Ministry of Education issued the Decision of the Ministry of Education on Approving the Award Project of the National Teaching Achievement Award in 2022 (Teacher [2023] No. 4). SBM of SISU's Strengthening Foundations – Integrating New Knowledge- Advocating Morality: The Digital and Intelligent Reform and Practice of Empowering the Cultivation of Liberal Arts Talents in the Intelligent Science Laboratory Group won the second prize of the national teaching achievement of higher education (undergraduate). This is the first time that SBM has taken the lead in winning the National Teaching Achievement Award, achieving a historic breakthrough in SBM's National Teaching Achievement Award.
The National Teaching Achievement Award is reviewed every four years. It is the highest award in the field of education and teaching established in accordance with the Regulations on the Award of Teaching Achievements of the State Council. It is an important measure for the country to implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, the strategy of strengthening the country through talents, and the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating people. It represents the highest level of education and teaching work in China.
In recent years, SBM has fully implemented the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, and vigorously promoted teaching reform and innovation. It leads the construction of a key laboratory for Brain-Machine Intelligence for Information Behavior (BMIB). In 2022, it was approved to build a key laboratory in Shanghai, and in 2023, it was approved to cultivate and construct a key laboratory of the Ministry of Education, creating a talent cultivation digital intelligence reform platform. SBM has implemented the Excellent Management Talent Plan for major enrollment and training, upgraded and launched the Digital Intelligence Management Talent Training 2.0 Edition, and achieved a series of outstanding results. The majors of Business Administration and Information Management and Information Systems have been selected as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, while the majors of Public Relations have been selected as first-class undergraduate major construction sites in Shanghai; The Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Information Management and Information Systems has been selected as one of the first pilot projects for the construction of virtual teaching and research offices by the Ministry of Education; More than 20 provincial and ministerial level education reform projects, including the first batch of new liberal arts research and reform practice projects approved by the Ministry of Education; Received more than 20 honors, including national first-class undergraduate courses, Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award, and Shanghai University Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition.
The National Teaching Achievement Award awarded this time is a significant landmark achievement in the high-quality development and high-level discipline construction of SBM. It is an innovative achievement achieved by the SBM's faculty who devote themselves to teaching and educating, fully demonstrating the SBM's achievements in talent cultivation and educational reform.
