​The Research of Assitant Professor LI Wenchao has been Accepted in Journal of Human Resources

The paper High Sex Ratios and Household Portfolio Choice in China written by Assitant Professor LI Wenchao in SBM,SISU, as the first author, was searched online by Journal of Human Resources and will be published in 2021.

Founded in 1965, Journal of Human Resources has an impact factor of 6.899. It ranks in the first region in SSCI index and is ranked as one of the 35 most authoritative journals in the world by Tilburg Economics Ranking. The paper looks at the huge increase in the market value of stock markets in both developing and developed countries over the past two decades, which has had a profound impact on the evolution of household wealth.

LI Wenchao obtained her Bachelor of Science degree with 1st class honors in 2013 and Ph.D. degree in economics in 2018 at National University of Singapore. In 2019, she joined the School of Business and Management, Shanghai International Studies University. She was honored as Pu Jiang Scholar of Shanghai in 2020. Her main research fields include Household Finance, Human Capital, Poverty and Development.

In recent years, SBM has attached great importance to overseas talent recruitment, reformed the recruitment plan of full-time faculty, optimized the evaluation mechanism of teaching and research workload, and vigorously enhanced its attraction to outstanding young overseas talents. Since the introduction of the overall research team from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015, SBM has successively introduced 16 outstanding young scholars from Harvard University, Cambridge University, National University of Singapore, Chinese University of Hong Kong and other world-class universities. The proportion of overseas faculty has increased to 22.7%, and 36 papers have been published in the first and second districts of SSCI/SCI, among which LI Wenchao is the outstanding representative. With the continuous output of outstanding young talents, the faculty will continue to be encouraged to carry out higher level scientific research and promote the sustainable development of scientific research and discipline construction of the school.
