On November 21, the first “Data Scientist Camp hosted by the AI and Data Science Application Center of SISU SBM was held as scheduled on the Songjiang Campus. With great enthusiasm, 30 students participated in this camp. Pan Yu, Dean of SBM, and Ma Baojun，Executive Deputy Director of the AI and Data Science Application Center attended the opening ceremony, which was hosted by Deng Shasha, the Deputy Director of the Center.
At the beginning of the opening ceremony, Dean Pan congratulated the students for standing out from many applicants and joined the first “Data Scientist Camp. He also asked the students to cherish the activities carefully prepared in this laboratory, study hard in two days, and deeply feel the charm of artificial intelligence and data science.
Then, Dean Pan introduced the AI and Data Science Application Center and the original intention of the center to serve the whole school. The center is committed to cultivating cross-border compound talents with high language skills and multidisciplinary knowledge such as big data analysis, artificial intelligence algorithms and economic management.
Finally, Dean Pan put forward requirements for the students participating in this camp, hoping that the students can take this camp as an opportunity to get a glimpse of the charm of data science and continue to work hard in the future to obtain deeper attainments.
