2018 IFSAM 14th World Management Conference held in Shanghai

On June 8, 2018 IFSAM 14th World Management Conference was successfully held at China Financial Information Center in Shanghai. The conference was jointly organized by International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM), IFSAM Chinese committee and Shanghai International Studies University, and jointly undertaken by School of Business & Management of SISU, Shanghai Institute of Management Education and Shanghai Bright-hand Public Relations Management Consulting.

With “national/regional management and cross-cultural management” as the theme, the conference called for scholars and managers in a changing environment, especially in the background of “The Belt and Road”, to reflect on the diverse world to seek harmony and cooperation with the power of science.The conference attracted nearly 200 experts and scholars at home and abroad ranging from UK, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Australia, Brazil, to Hong Kong and Macao.

Chaired by professor Fan Zheng, chairman of IFSAM 14th World Management Conference, chief expert of the national social science major project, professor of Shanghai International Studies University,the opening ceremony was presented by guests and speakers as follow: Wang Jiarui, vice chairman of the 12th CPPCC national committee, Li Yansong, president of SISU, Su Dongshui, chairman of IFSAM Chinese committee, Michael Morley, chairman of IFSAM.

IFSAM awarded professor Su Dongshui “Oriental Management Lifetime Achievement Award”. Chairman Wang jiarui presented the prize to Prof. Su, Chen Jing, secretary-general of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress (NPC) and Chen Chunhua,dean of BiMBA business school of Beijing University presented bouquets.For half a century, Prof. Sue has been preserving his study and founded a school Oriental Management, with “people-oriented, morality-oriented and human good” as the ideology. There was also an inaugural ceremony of “Alliance of Oriental Management Institutes”. At present, research centers have been established in 11 universities.

The 15th World Management Conference will be held in Brazil in 2020. IFSAM, founded in 1992, is a multicultural international organization that has successfully hosted 14 world management conferences worldwide since its establishment.
